FEDERATED HISTORIC HOLDINGS
Founded in 2012, FHH is dedicated to contributing to and enhancing the fabric of New Orleans, while delivering value to neighborhoods and investors. With over 25 years in the real estate business we have the knowledge, experience and professional network necessary to bring projects to life.
Whether it’s a small-scale neighborhood corner store or a large-scale mixed use project, we understand that we are building more than a portfolio— we’re building the legacy of the City of New Orleans. The founders Ben Jacobson and Casey Burka, both native New Orleanians, strive to undertake projects that will foster community and strengthen the neighborhoods in which they exist.

Our team is comprised of a wide range of real estate professionals with an intricate and in depth understanding of New Orleans. We possess the knowledge, experience and skill sets necessary to plan, permit, and build complex projects.
Ben Jacobson | Founder
With over 18 years of experience in the real estate business, Ben’s expertise includes project management, construction management, zoning issues, historic tax credits, project finance, state and local economic development incentives, commercial investments, strategic planning, and marketing.
Since founding FHH, Ben has overseen more than $70 million in real estate projects. He takes great pride in trying to contribute to the unique culture of the Big Easy.
Casey Burka | Founder
Casey has been in the real estate business for over 17 years and has an extensive rolodex of investors, tenants, and real estate professionals. He has completed countless deals with many of the city’s most notable outfits, including Rouses, French Truck, Blue Oak, Starbucks, Lululemon, Shake Shack, and French Truck Coffee.
While Casey has a deep understanding of New Orleans’ various neighborhoods, his knowledge also extends to the entire real estate landscape of the greater New Orleans, Louisiana, and Gulf South regions.
Jake Glover | Development Associate
Jake joined the team at Federated Historic Holdings as an analyst in the summer of 2020. Prior to FHH, Jake held internships with ben + burka real estate, Schuckman Real Estate in New York City, and assisted in military arms sales to NATO allies for a Washington DC-based defense contractor.
Jake attended Tulane University as a Distinguished Scholar academic scholarship recipient, graduating on the dean’s list with a Bachelor’s degree in both Finance and Marketing. Jake also graduated with a minor in Sustainable Real Estate Development.
Sarah MacCurdy | Controller
Sarah joined FHH in 2021 with over a decade of experience in planning, directing, and executing operational accounting functions for businesses located in the greater New Orleans area.
She has extensive experience managing and consolidating financial data within a variety of industries, from banking to hospitality.
